What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care encompasses a variety of supports and care – psychological, medical, social, spiritual. It seeks to relieve people with incurable, potentially fatal and/or chronic progressive diseases from the suffering and complications that result, for themselves and their loved ones.
The goal of palliative care is to accompany and relieve, to allow the best possible quality of life at every moment for the rest of life.
