What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care encompasses a broad spectrum of psychological, medical, social, and spiritual support. Its purpose is to alleviate the suffering and complications arising from incurable, potentially life-limiting and/or progressive chronic conditions for both patients and their families.
The aim of palliative care is to offer support and alleviate suffering, in order to ensure the best possible quality of life throughout the remainder of life.
